Guy Haskins,Owner & CEO

Guy-HaskinsGuy started his hospitality career as a busboy at a four star Country Inn in Upstate NY. By the age of 19, Guy was managing four small restaurants and acting as the assistant manager at the Inn.  While in college, he worked full-time as the manager for the Geneseo State University Catering Department while completing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Management.  Upon completing his degree, Guy launched a 14-year career of directorships at various universities culminating with the Associate Director of Dining and Catering at Vanderbilt University.

Guy and his wife, Shirley have grown to love living in Nashville while raising four children.  Eight years ago, Guy ventured out to start his own catering business that has grown into G Catering and Events. Guy’s passion for good food and great customer service is the drive behind the team at G Catering and Events.

Fun Facts about the owner: Four phrases to describe Guy: “Hard worker, Persistence, Servant, dedicated Christian”. Guy loves Ice cream – almost any kind – everyday. A great steak is about the best meal he can have and it is even better at Christmas which is the best of holidays. Oh and what is the best part of owning a catering company? Guy says, “Complementary customers who loved their event.”


Burke Conley, Executive Chef

Chef-BurkeChef Burke Conley began his culinary career over twenty years ago. A Tennessee native, he worked for ten years with the famed Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Embassy Suites Hotel organizations as a Banquet Server, Captain and then Manager. He then spent eleven Years in Food Sales and Distribution starting as a Territory Manager and then as Product Specialist and Corporate Chef.

His passion has always been cooking and creating, so enrolled in culinary school earning a Degree in Culinary Arts. In 2009 he joined G Catering and Events as the Executive Chef .

Chef Burke uses his experiences, his southern roots and passion for food in every dish.

“Food should be fun, it should be attractive, inviting to all your senses. It can bring complete strangers together or unite families. Food can evoke emotion, tell a story and even pay homage to one’s heritage. Food can be used to educate and inspire. So it should be respected and enjoyed.”

Chef Burke is a active member of American Culinary Federation and is Serv-Safe certified.

In 2008, he was awarded the Honorary Chef for the March of Dimes Signature Chef Auction, and winner of the Taste of Williamson in 2010. He has been featured in National Catering Magazines for exception food and presentations.

Chef also enjoys teaching and mentoring so he shares his experiences with our culinary team which is comprised of former and currently enrolled Culinary Students.


Rebecca Haskins, CWEP – Office Administrator, Event Coordinator

Rebecca-HaskinsRebecca has been with G Catering & Events for over four years. She started in food production and worked into office administration and event coordination. The experience she gained while being in the kitchen, equips her to effectively communicate the clients needs to the team. She is passionate about organization and creating a solid business relationship with each client. Rebecca is eager to assist you, making sure every detail is coordinated for your event.

Fun Facts about Rebecca: When not at the office you might find Rebecca at a local coffee shop looking up new wedding and fashion trends. She enjoys traveling the world, experiencing new cultures and flavors. She likes rock climbing as well as dressing up for the party. She is a woman of fun and character.
